Broken Hip Lawsuit Filed Against Michigan Nursing Home
Our Michigan nursing home neglect lawyers recently filed a lawsuit against a Monroe, Michigan nursing home. The suit arises out of serious injuries suffered by a resident at the Magnum Care of Monroe. The 76 year old resident suffered a broken hip in the nursing home fall.
The resident was admitted the nursing home facility for her dementia. Due to a number of medical conditions and a history of previous falls, she was determined to be a high risk for falling in a nursing home assessment. The staff implemented a care plan but failed to follow the plan.
On March 14, 2012, the resident was not properly supervised and fell. She suffered a fractured left hip. She underwent surgery for the hip fracture and was forced to undergo additional medical treatment for her condition.
We filed a nursing home neglect lawsuit in the Monroe County Circuit Court for her injuries. The suit seeks a settlement for her pain and suffering caused by the fall. It also seeks payment of all medical expenses related to her injuries. No trial date has been set by the court.
